Displacement current detection of photoconduction in carbon nanotubes

چکیده
Using a capacitive photocurrent measurement technique, we demonstrate the ability of both semiconducting and metallic single wall nanotubes to function as photodetectors over a wide spectral range. We observe clear peaks in the photo induced displacement current of a nanotube-plated capacitor that correspond directly to the semiconducting and metallic transitions in the nanotube absorbance spectrum. The signal increases substantially as the carrier drift velocity is raised with applied bias. A large increase in the photocurrent observed below temperatures of 100 K suggests that the nanotube hot carrier relaxation rate decreases substantially at low temperatures. © 2005 American Institute of Physics. fDOI: 10.1063/1.1863447g

Electrochemical assay of anti-tetanus toxoid monoclonal antibody by silver enhancement of gold nanoparticles at carbon nanotubes modified glassy carbon electrode
Tetanus is caused by the toxin secreted by Clostridium tetani. Due to the rapid infection with this bacterium, it is so important to investigate the tetanus immunity of people. Therefore, electrochemical biosensors, as one of the most effective tools in this regard, have demanded characteristics such as being fast, simple, cost-effective and portable. However, their detection sensitivity is not...

The electrocatalytic oxidation of captopril (CAP) was studied by modified carbon nanotubes paste electrode in the presence of isoproterenol (ISPT) using cyclic voltammetry (CV), chronoamperometry and square wave voltammetry (SWV). Also, the values of catalytic rate constant (k), and electron transfer coefficient (α) for CAP were calculated. The mechanism of CA electrochemical behavior at the mo...
